Back into bikes -from Sunshine Coast BC.

Hey Gang,

Well I now I'm at the party but a little late. ...Like 10 years late it seems.
But I'm here now so all is good I think.

I'm 50 now and spent my early days ripping around the foothills and Calgary roads pretending I was Kenny Roberts.
Did a bit of 350 production racing back then. And loads of "sporting rides" as Sunday practice

Roads were not busy then and perfect for learning in the 80's in Calgary.

I have been lusting after a big muscle bound superbike ever since I sold my wicked fast Spencer replica to a guy from the US about 16 years ago. (see pic)

Well after many months of searching I finally have what I've always wanted. A nice clean Kawasaki GPZ/ELR clone
And the owner has done a stand up job of building it.

Anyway I need riding gear now I guess, So maybe you guys can give advice there.
Last time I rode it was all ratty one piece moto gp style leathers.
I'll post this in another location though.

Here's my new baby.

I thank Paul the owner and builder for giving up this nicely done replica bike.
He has really put his heart into this build. And I feel he has done all the right things.
We spent a long and careful exchange of info over a couple of months and with getting to know each other a bit until we felt comfortable to do a deal together we were both happy with.
I know just how he feels though seeing it leave as well. I've built many projects over the years and after some time, I seem to get into something else and keep the challenge moving along with something totally different.

It's a beautiful thing, & it looks like Paul didn't take any shortcuts,
