Wookie, when you think about it, this whole over-population problem can be fixed within 100 years. China tried it (I won’t go into the gory details) but because of the way it was done it’s turned into a “sausage-fest" over there. The premier has lifted the 'one child' limit but the women are saying "nah, I’m good".
If you think EV's and "climate change" were controversial best steer away from "population control"

LA got rid of their electric mass transit in the 50/60's as did SD, LB, and all the beach cities going north as well as SF + surrounding cities including Sacramento. It's horrible driving the 5 to Oregon and to think all those electric street cars are sitting at the bottom of the various bays acting as reefs driven by big money interests proves the point money is at the root of all of this and they're dreaming up ways to extort more from us in the name of "Climate Change." It's one big scam always has been.
Then we have the multi billion $ train to nowhere that is now abandoned. No wonder California has a $94 billion surplus and they want more taxes. Bottom line it's about money and control nothing else.

No a statement on how we got here in CA. I was in to Honda CVCC's, I had 4 of them. The first ones met the 2000 estimated smog limits. The 1980 wagon I had got 40-52 MPG. I used it to pick up my frame in Riverside as well as for work. I LOVED THAT CAR. Only problem was the carb and the 50 vacuum lines. Tried to rebuild the carb but wound up going to a wrecking yard and got a good used one. DROVE THE PISS OUT OF IT.
My daughter bought a 91 and the best it could do was 20MPG. They went back to the regular type engine.
They proved it could be done but abandoned it for the standard type then came FI.
My 93 Euro got 20 MPG had lots of power, handled well and looked good. but I missed my 80 CVCC.

The original Japanese scientists' report says that warming has slowed down.  It doesn't say warming has stopped or that it has reversed.

So Facebook is your resource for science info?

As someone who spent almost 50 years in the mining industry I can confidently say that the photo and accompanying caption are complete horse apples.  Machines like that are used for coal mining, and were once used in the Athabasca oil sands but have since been replaced by conventional trucks and shovels.

Many lithium projects are solution mines, where the lithium is removed from underground water deposits.  Some projects, mainly in Oz are conventional underground deposits.

White Rabbit Hole

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Steve
When he's ten feet tall

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell em a hooka smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Go ask Steve
When he was just small

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Steve
I think he'll know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight is talking backwards
And the red Queen's off with her head
Remember what Steve said
Fear and dread
Fear and dread

No FB is NOT my resource for information. I found it interesting it still being up does suggest it being BS. No less than what is put out by the government.
