he was referring to someone else quoted in the article, not the owner of fox news...  did you just read the headline of the article and post it here?

Also, nobody is going to dispute the fact that we're in a "late-stage-capitalism" environment where mega corps own significant resources and wield massive amounts of influence... it's up to us to exercise critical thinking skills and analysis to see if what we're consuming makes sense, regardless of source.

EV's are blowing up?  What's that supposed to mean?  Should we not build any more? 

Back in the 1970's Ford Pintos were blowing up.  Did that stop Ford from building new cars?

Was that not only after a leaked "memo" stating litigation for the victims was cheaper than a "re-call" ? 

In an era where quarterly earnings are king, I would never trust industry to "self regulate" or do anything to improve the overall health/quality of the business and/or product when it comes at a cost of the next earnings report (even before the current business era, we can see Ford reducing people to dollars with the Pinto debacle). 

That being said, EV's are the future whether you like it or not, so the next step is thorough and effective federal regulations and requirements to ensure the safety and sustainability of the product. If you're ok with the fact that that rivers in Ohio aren't catching on fire anymore, then you should be ok with this next step.

Federal regulations will fix everything? Huh!

Generally, yes...  if you're a fan of seatbelts, fire safety, safe work environments etc.

Obviously there will be misses and bad ideas, but I don't think you realize just how much your quality of life is positively impacted by federal regulation. 

I mean, I suppose we could see how unchecked Anarcho-Capitalism works out though
