Hagon shocks changed the personality and handling of my 650 D2 more than any other change I've made. Progressive springs, new seals and fluid in the forks was good, but the shocks were huge.

Looking forward to test the bike again :)
I was thinking the rear suspension was less important then front, but rear is maybe important for my ass :) hehe?

Last work I have done is to pimp up the gauges for rpm and speed... It was some corrosion etc.... I have not done a 100% overhaul, since my plan is to rebuild everything when it comes to electricity and switches gauges etc.. next winter.

I have also reinstalled the left and right switches, have been able to locate a new plastic knop for the right side.

I have also received the top back, workshop have tapped of some on the inlet valves, so I can manage to get correct valve clearness.
I`m waiting for the last part before I can install the oil pan again and start to reinstall the engine.

I did not find any good picture before I started to overhaul the gauges:

Today have I installed the oil pan again. I have also washed the cylinders with mineral oil, the cylinder has a fresh borr and hone job, I shall install 810 big bore kit.
Plan further is to rebuild the whole engine and then paint the engine and store it for some months, while building the rest and then install it into the frame, do the last pices and start it up and do the burn in procedure.

Murphy's law will properly come hehe, but I try to do everything correct the first time.

I want to thank you all members on these form for your input and help, without you I will had big problem doing rebuild of the bike, so thank you.

Today have I continue with the engine rebuild. I have installed the block and the top. I have only been able to torque up to 20Nm, my torque wrench is not going higher, will get a larger one on Monday and torque up to final 40Nm according to the service manual.

I used threebond sealer on four locations according to the service manual and then sprayed the whole gasket with copper spray.

Cross my fingers for now oil leak :)

Plan for tomorrow is to check valve clearness and install the cams and the timing chain.

Looks great Gordone. I'm surprised more folks are chiming in, but it may be the Winter doldrums. You appear to be doing a well thought out, systematic job on this one. Won't be long before you are firing her up. Excellent work.

Yesterday I installed the rear wheel and the rear brake system. It was a problem to get all air out of the system with the old fanshion way, when I sued vaacum unit then it was no problem...

Next step will be to paint the engine, front and rear fender plus the side covers.
When these is done will I do the the rest of the engine, valve clarness, carb inlet holders etc... so everything is ready for install the engine in the frame.
