Eric,

The Netherlands is easily my favorite place outside of my U.S. birthplace. Been there twice and I am in love with the bike mad folks there. Hell, my helmet is a Van Den Bosch replica Arai if that tells you anything...

Love this build. Keep it up. We're all enjoying your hard work.

Will do Leon.
The europ trip I mean :)
Planning about 2500km with some nice passes in Austria, a piece of Monaco including the tunnel and on the way back checking out the "Route Napoleon".
Maybe when the bike is finished i can do it again
Hope to take some nice pictures and post them here.

Thanks Colin,
When i started riding bikes ages ago there was enough space on the road with no speed bumps.
Whe had a speed limit of 100kph butt nobody cared.
Now the roads here are crowded and speed traps are everywhere.
I have not been driving a bike since 12 years so I Probably will have some adapting to do :pinch:

If you mean you have a painting of Jeroen Bosch on your helmet that would be a real peace of art

Still alive :cheer: ,
Just been busy with lots of things except the bike.
First a great road trip through Europe, 3300km trough Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
Fantastic ride by car and hopefully one day on the Kawa B)
Bought a book called "Great Driving Roads" and basically planned my trip with these parts in it.
German autobahn, Austrian Alps, Venice, Garda Lake, Monaco and then north via "Route Napolen"

Then the basic time consuming things like work and getting the garden prepared for winter.
So now when it is 4 degrees celsius and Raining Cats and Dogs like the Brits say, it is time to get back to really important stuff:
Getting the Z1000 ready :)

Did some polishing.

Birthday present from my wife  (took some explaining what a "Moriwaki" is)

Got my frame welded by a friend of mine.

Grinded off the brackets so they can be placed more backward because of the length of my Ohlins.

Bought a bunch of bolts fromZ1 enterprise not knowing I had to figure out myself where they should fit.

Remodeled the bracket so now my hydraulic clutch fits on it.

Made a new battery case, probably a bit overkill on metal but at least it won't come off ;)
(have to by a new battery because this one died)

Major step for me, engine is closed with new gaskets O rings and bolts.

Thanks Dave and David,

Next week last welding of the frame and then rebuilding Carbs and refurbishing the brakes.
And then the fun part, rebuilding so it wil looks like a bike again i.s.o a bunch of loose parts.

The points cover I got from " www.zclassicservice.de " and the paint is VHT SP995 and VHT SP903.
I don't know if it will stick, can tell you more next summer after a few rides :)

Next /last job before I can finally make it look like a bike again :)

I have to make something like these beauties and figure out which angle to use for installing the rear shocks.
