Starting to button it back up. Some days you figure it isn't worth the time and money. Not today.

Granted it's only got about 10K miles on it but still. Here is what the inside of the crankcase breather cover looked like when I took it off without me so much as wiping it with a paper towel. Kawasaki: blow by, whats that?

I know those of you who like to keep things stock are going to cringe but... Hooked up a Motogadget keyless RFID thingy to the back of the battery box in a Home Depot junction box. Now I can hold the little fob in my hand and wave like Queen Elizabeth in the vicinity of my right side cover and the old twin lights up. Amazingly everything seems to work except the horn. Anybody know if the horn switch grounds to the handlebar? The reason I ask is that my new handlebars are painted.

Yes, it completes the ground to the horn.

So I should remove some paint/coating/whatever near the horn switch and also where the handlebar grips the triple tree?

If you squint just right here it is pretty much visually complete. I have to get the side covers that I got off a 750LTDt painted black, that's where you have to squint. Now that I have the electrical (almost) completely sorted out I just have to pop the tank back on, hook up cables and hoses and it should start right up and run like a dream with those new pods installed right?

Truly the stock side covers on the 750Bs are a crime against design IMO.
