Bit of progress made but the right kind as I now have a full on rolling bike with all the trimmings.

Disk spacers have been done so can bolt on the discs.

Headlight brackets done, intreated into the clips on - will be anodised black so they are even more incognito.
The steering lock is also on, basically it;s two screws mounted onto the bottom yoke and depending on how long
they are you can tweak the steering lock.

Gear lever linkage sorted.

And the I had the rear calliper hanger machined from scratch. I'm not sure about this as I specified a design that was
simpler and less bulky and this looks kind of okay but way chunky. Maybe it will look better in black.

Now I basically plumb it up, throw motor in and wire it up and it's ready to go. I won't do a full build and fire up,
I'll do a full dry build and no wiring to check it's all good and everything I need is done - then disassemble and
get everything off for coating / painting.

nice work as usual, but to say that the caliper hanger is "chunky" is quite an understatement.... ;)

how did it "happen"?

in my days in aeronautical R&D one tech sent a drawing for a 1 mm thin special washer.... it came back from the machine shop as a real 1 INCH thick washer, we kept it for laughs

I submitted a design to the machinist and said I wanted it simpler and less chunky than the previous 'test' item that was made of hacked and welded up KTM hanger.

They came back with this - which is big because they wanted to err on the side of strength.

But I need to see it in the flesh.

One thing to be aware of, if you ever take it to track days (or very spirited rides), the rear brake won't dissipate heat as fast as it should because of the hanger.

everything looks AWESOME. B)

if the rear cal was on the bottom and use a torque arm, it could be a lot smaller.

the only time i use the rear brake at the track is when i go off the track. :woohoo:

I'm not machining the stuff tho, beyond my vaunted abilities I'm afraid - so the shop has my chassis to ensure the parts fit and work.

I'll collect to for the final 'master wrenching'
