Thanks guys, I was tempted to buy another tank. There was one on e-bay and another at a salvage yard I could have bought, but it would have been north of $300 for either one and they could have had some issues. This tank is pretty solid, so I had to try and save it.

I may have saved the tank, but my shoulders are killing me..... :pinch:

I just have to finish the brakes, and wait for my body work to come back. Won't be long. B)

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Still moving slow, I'm killing time while the body work is out. I took the front breaks apart. What a Mess.

The crazy part is, the front brake still worked!
The calipers cleaned up easily. The only real problem that these type of calipers have is pitting on the chrome plated piston. These were ok. New seals, pads, some paint, and they where ready to go. Also have the new tire mounted, a Shinko 230 to match the back. Previous owner had 120 on the front, the correct size is a 110 not sure if it really makes that much difference.

The maser cylinder was much worse. This took a while to get cleaned up. There was some minor damage to the cylinder bore, still better than I expected when I first took it apart. I put a rebuild kit in it and hit it with paint.

Still trying to get the brake lines sorted out. I bought a set of stainless lines but was sent the wrong parts. I just have a few things left other than the body work. The rear brakes is done except for the hose. Crossing more things off of the to-do list!

I love the color! It turned out better than I could have hoped. I have the carbs on the bench checking the float levels one last time. They were on the high side and was causing the bike to load up... well I think that's what the problem is.

Just waiting for a few parts to put the fuel tank back together and it's go time....

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Wow! That turned out nice! What a Beast, those 6 cylinders. lad I was looking.
I see the front end and wheels are same as the KZ1000 shaft drive. Looks like the rear wheel is just turned around.
Is rear 17"?
Thanks for sharing.
Good Luck getting it going down the road!
