Thanks guys. Nelson, I couldn't tell if it was the fumes or I was just drunk with excitement. I'm so pleased that it started on the first shot, no smoke after it burned off the grease that I used to hold the exhaust gaskets in.

Adam thanks for the time goal. It actually caused me to work a litte harder this week to get it going.

In the intrest of full disclosure, that was not the first time that I actually started it. I really titled the video incorrectly. It took 15 sec to start the first time I tried. When it started I thought to go get the camera.

Got any pointers for me on how to keep it out of the wall? I guess I should hook up the brakes before I try the burnout. :side:

Not too bad for guessing at jet sizes, and not vacuum synced yet. It seems a little rich with my limited amount of testing, but that was my intention. I wanted to err on the side of too rich. I really like the sound of an old 2 valve Kawi. It's nothing like my other bike. So much deeper exhaust.

I think that Dyna 2000 helps compensate for not perfect carburation. That thing puts out a healthy spark. Before I got the plug wires on I kept hearing a pop as I turned the engine over by hand. It turned out to be a coil throwing a spark about 1 1/2" to the nearest frame brace.

Nelson, I thought about that, but I'll try and go easy on the old girl at first. The key word is try. I went and picked up a complete set of Galfer break pads this afternoon. If I stay busy this weekend, I may just be ready for a good lap of the subdivision. Had to take off this evening, my boy had a baseball game.

nice video...keep it moving at your pace...great spark jumping story...lucky no fuel was hanging in the air......i saw a guy pull the plug on a flooded husky and give it a kick to clear the jug.....shot flames into his hair...plug was arcing near the compressed fuel mist shot....he was running away while the bike was still balanced for a brief moment

.. i was lmfao...which he got mad about later....sparks work...just get a little fuel near em...

gonna be cool to see it rolling
