She was in a pink and blue full leather racing suit .... how could she not be.

Also Zukdave think about buying the 1984 July Hot Bike magazine on ebay ...... it has a article about the Philadelphia Flash ( In 81 the NMRA started a Junior pro stock class) and the flash is a guy named Frank Giordano driving a 1982 KZ GPZ 750.

Bored to 770, lightened Falicon crank, alum rods, 4 speed Murdoch auto trans, STOCK Kawasaki plates lock up pusher and springs by Murdoc, Web cams, (no size given) APE valve springs, tit valves, Jardine sidewinder pipe, 33mm smoothbores, MTC Cyl studs, tit retainers, cyl head done by Giordano Performance racing ...... 8 inch over swingarm, alum rims 6 by 18 out back, etc etc...........

Ran a best of 10.06 and he then got it down to 9.97 then 9.80 and won the 83 championship.

Sulfate good for you man. My friend wants to go to the drag this summer in Florida.

What stops people from putting kz1000 stock Pistons in the 750 jugs? Or 900 pistons? That's 4mm over for 1000 Pistons? Are the wrist pins different sizes?

KZB2 you got more info. on this Frank guy ?
Been on Google for an hour and can't find anything about him.

I'm using the Denco number's as a target because those are
the best I've seen in print.
If someone can find better please post a link to the info.

I can't seen to find anything either ...... must not have lasted too long after that but he kicked butt in 83. On ebay they have this July 1984 issue for 4 bucks with 2 dollars shipping with a offer so you could probably get it for 5 ....... Has a 2 page article with a couple of nice pics so I think it would be worth while to you. Sorry I can't help more.

I found another in the Feb84 issue they have a 2 page article on APE lightened cranks. (4 and a half pounds off.).... and in it it talks of John Noard's KZ (uses the crank) ........ says under the pic of it .....bike is the fastest KZ 650 in the world ..... lad is the only one that we have heard of that's run in the 8s.

And nope I can't find anything  searching on him either. But don't worry the pic is too small to tell for sure but I'm 90% sure its turbo'd so that puts it outta your class. Set up like the older dragster style bikes too see a magneto coming outta the point cover but not much else detail.

If you would check out one of my first posts "Worlds biggest KZ650" ...... Lotta good info others wrote in. Mainly the reason not for it is the cost for the bigger pin mod on the rods and the combustion chamber, piston crown mods.

Stock 750 piston in the hole.

Hey Dave! Nice work! Good for you, buildin a bigger top end, engine.
My Trick from long ago, to clean the fresh bored holes. Wipe them with toilet paper and white lithium grease.
1 - 2 - 3 times. You will notice they will get cleaner and lighter in color everytime you wipe them. Then as long as you can fire up the bike soon. I always did the cylinders dry! Yes dry. This way the rings will seat quick. Thats how I build my engines. I have Wiseco .030 over in my Harley Shovel since 1989. To this day it still does not smoke oil at all!
Good Luck to you! And keep on building and racing! I miss it!

Got a little more done today pulled the old stud's
and got the top of the case cleaned.
Also got the sump off the 650 motor to take
in to work and clean it up.
