I'm rebuilding my '82 750 and noticed a hole in the crankcase that I don't have any parts for. I'd like to know if this is meant to hold a kick start shaft. If so, what parts will I need to add one? Pictures attached.

Thanks for any help!

kz/gpz 750 - 4 cylinder ?
These are based on the crankcases of the old z650 and can be converted to take a kickstart with the appropriate parts.
You will need the all the internal kickstart mechanism , shaft and the matching clutch cover with provision for the oil seal.
Depending on model you may need to change the clutch mechanism from rack and pinion to pushrod also.

Yes an '82 kz750 H3 4 cylinder. It does already have a push rod clutch. Would you happen to know what model I can take the appropriate clutch cover from? I've seen them before, I just can't place what model it comes from.

There's some info and pics in these two threads you might find useful:

HERE

AND HERE

You will need to split the cases to install a kickstarter.

That's perfect, the case is already split for a full engine rebuild. Thanks for the help!
