This morning the starter was working normal again. I'm thinking those metal rollers in the starter clutch are slipping and don't grab again until the motor is fully cooked down.

A single tap will be fine as long as the bore is the same and you are not drag racing it.,

So I bought a single tap and a brass T to split it and now I'm getting fuel cut. Are you sure this will provide Enough fuel? I tried evening out the length of the hoses from one carb and to the other but didn't notice much difference. Any tips from anyone??? Really don't want to have to put the dual fuel port petcock back on

Only you can answer that, as none of us know which tap you actually brought and what size bore or flow rate it is or seen any pictures of it, if it is a 6mm bore it will be fine, so put it together and find out.

Says designed for use with 1/4" fuel line. I chose this one bc it has a reserve unlike the Pingle. Check the attached image.

The blurb suggests that it flows enough for a 1200cc Sportster, so your 750 twin should get what it needs.

Only thing that worries me is that Harley's are single carb.

Yes, a single carb that flows enough to feed 1200cc.

You procrastinate way too much, put it all back together, put some fuel in it and go for a ride.

I did...that's why I was posting. I tried to go for a ride but was running off one cylinder periodically. I did notice when I would ride if I held it at wide open throttle it would eventually catch back up but not before a lot of stuttering power loss. But every time I would release the throttle to go back to idke it would never die. It would always idke fine this is why it makes me think it's the petcock not providing enough fuel.

I think you need to look elsewhere, if a KZ 900/1000 can run off of a 1/4 inch the 750 will also run off a 1/4, also have you checked the gas cap vent and the carb diaphragms .

well you guys certainly were right on the fuel extra filters. Turns out a little piece of debris was stuck in my float needle seat preventing the needle from seating properly. This caused my left float bowl to overflow, so i believe it was just causing the engine to flood, and once i would hold the throttle wide open it would use that gas and catch up with itself for a brief moment. I noticed this when i left the gas on for a little while. Shes running great again. Thanks for your patience and help guys!
