I got the bearings from McMaster Carr. On the MKII I was able to use the bearing and the triple tree bolt. The trick is to get the biggest bearing possible so it just barely fits into the rotor ID. Then it's plenty large enough that it doesn't damage the crank at all and there is absolutely to chance of it pushing into the threaded ID of the crank. Mine came off really easy but that was AFTER I had the same problem you did when I first removed it a few months earlier.

I actually broke off the rotor puller in the rotor when I used the impact, so be careful with that! I think you want to get it real tight and then strike it (on the bolt or tool) to get it to pop loose. Good luck and keep us posted. You know the suspense is killing us too!

OK, I have an M18x1.5 bolt coming from fastenal, only cost me 12 bucks, that is cheaper than z1e after exchange and shipping, so I ordered one. I will get a decent air gun on friday when I get paid and get to work when the bolt comes on. Thanks for the patience and help guys, my viking buddies and I appreciate everything.

When the bolt comes, why not make a Tool like Larry's, or something where you can hit it with a hammer to tighten, then on the end to pop off the stuck POS?
Look up Hammer Wrench in an Industrial tool catalog, you will get an Idea.

Here I found a photo, you could weld up something like this to your bolt head,

You could make a "Lever" out of some plate steel, weld it to the bolt head to Smack!

Very good... ;) Don't spend too much on an impact. The electric ones work fine, and you really wont use it too much anyways.

Good luck.

Manual impact drivers are inexpensive and readily available at Z1E, Harbor Freight, etc.

Very handy for removing case screws without damaging the screw head.

Typically also fit any 3/8" socket.

Good Fortune! :)
