I saw one where the artist used like a 250 LTD fuel tank as the body of a bird. The head and tail feathers were all different motorcycle parts!!!! Wish I would have saved the photo when I saw it.
I build my models with the very same patience and workmanship as when I was building my bikes. No taking half ass ways or shortcuts just to save a bit of time!!! You make something to the best of your ability and you keep pushing yourself to build or make the next one better than the previous one. If I make a mistake, I start over or correct it. Not just leave it. Today's generations do not know what it is to actually make something with their own hands. To make something out of nothing. That is why model building, model trains, and slot cars are dying hobbies. Hell kids and parents don't even build their own Pinewood Derby cars anymore, they would rather buy them. Look up Pinewood Derby Cars on Ebay and you will find tons of finished cars. Very sad in my book.
Check out this model diorama. Its a motorcycle work shop!!!!!! Its got to be in 1/12th scale by the Kanatuna on the lift. Check out all the little details the builder put into it!!!!!!! WAY beyond my pay grade!!!!
Doc it's been quite a long time since I heard anyone use the term Kanatuna. I believe the first time was when Cal Rayborn III was riding a "kanatuna" tuned by Tom Houseworth back in the 80s.
memories.

Many are powered by Lithium Ion cells, and there are many others that run on Alkaline primary cells. Some can run on both.
Lights offer some amusement, as well as being practical tools to chase away the darkness.
With prices ranging from a few dollars to well over $1,000.00, there's a light for every use, taste and budget.
There are lights that will run at low-but useful levels for days on a single cell, lights that will ignite a sheet of paper, UV lights to excite florescence in minerals and security marks on currency, lights that throw a pencil beam for kilometers.
There are enthusiasts who manufacture custom, one-off lights, and there is a deep pool of modders that take stock lights and change not only the LED, but install multiple LED's in custom reflectors. The electronics (drivers) are myriad, as is the firmware that defines the different operational modes of the drivers.
High performance handheld LED flashlights can be an economical, entertaining hobby that requires little space or financial outlay.
