I love the olive drab colored rocket you posted!!!!

That is how they were painted once they were operational. I had some much hassle getting those red rectangle decals to work on the nose I almost painted the damn rocket olive drab!!!!! Took me three sets of decals to get them to look right!!!!

Remember this kit then?????????? I think everybody as a kid back then built this kit.

My next build the Revell Long Tom Gun!!!!!

They had Little John there too.
They also had the 280mm Heavy Motorized Gun ( Atomic cannon ) I don't know if there is a model of it though

Believe it or not, there are a few different manufacturers that offer kits of the atomic cannon. Renwal was one of the first to offer one back around 1960 or so. They made it in 1/32nd scale. It is almost THREE FEET LONG!!!!! That kit brings some big bucks now if you have an unopened kit that is almost 60 years old!!!!!

You should see what some of the late 50's and 60's models bring on Ebay.

They are out of my price range!!!!!

Its crazy some people will pay like 200 bucks or more for a kit that sold for two bucks back in the 60's!!!!!!!

A few weeks back we rode out to Galesburg IL for a annual Civil War reenactment and they had a very nice copy of the H L Hunley there .
It looks like there are a few models available for that too.

You would not believe the different and unusual subjects available in plastic model kits.

They even had at one time an Alfred E. Neuman model kit!!!!!!

It came with different arms so you could make an assortment of poses.

There is one on Ebay right now for a 100 dollars, and its missing some major parts!!!!!!

I'm a wheel gun guy , but I noticed your Buck and I wouldn't count it as a hobby but I have collected a few knifes over the years,
The Western pocket knife is very old and been on many fishing/camping trips.
The Red Spyderco is what I carry, it cuts through anything.
The buck 110 is a 67 that I just had repaired after it sat broke for 40+ years,
Buck fixed it and gave it the "spa" treatment for free and it is beautiful!
The Buck Pathfinder is my old hunting knife.

Don't have much in knifes around the house. Made the meat cleaver in 8th grade shop class. Most people in the class made roach clips or bird houses. I made me a meat cleaver!!!!!! When I worked parts in a dealership near Humboldt Park in Chicago. I used to throw the cleaver and stick it in the wall at the end of the parts counter!!!!!!! We were one of the few businesses on that block that were never robbed.

The bayonet came with the first M-16 I bought many many years ago. The bayonet mounts right up on the M-16. But the Ar-15 does not come with the mount for it.

The local high school in Ottawa IL where my kids went closed all the shop classes a few years back,
