Anybody Have Other Hobbies Besides Motorcycles?? was created by Dr. Gamma
Just curious if other members here have other types of hobbies besides motorcycles?? Besides my addiction to motorcycles, I have always enjoyed firearms. Never had the heart to go out and kill Bambi, so for me it is target shooting, and taking out worthless types of animals!!! Been getting pretty good at long range targets in the past few years.
Been racing slot cars since back in the early 60's. Started racing in organized races back in '67. Got out of slot cars when I found motorcycles back around '71 or so. Made the mistake of going to someone house and they had a nice sized HO slot car track. Well that started me back into slot cars around '08 again!!!! I wanted a small home track again, well that ended up with a 10 foot by 5 foot table with a four line HO track on it!!!! Its the only type of racing I can do anymore.
Latest hobby I picked up on again is building models. I can remember building my first models back around when I was in first grade. I have been finding on Ebay the very same models kits I built back when I was a child. All the old time modellers call them "nostalgia builds" This winter is the first season in many many years that I am not building, or rebuilding one of my motorcycles. So building models is now occupying my spare time. I took up model building for some relaxation. Well hell it can be as frustrating as screwing up something on your bike!!!!
So lets see what others have for hobbies away from motorcycles!!!!!
One of the worthless animals I don't mind wasting!!!

Other than motorcycles I'm into welding and building.
You may have seen my round roof shed project.:
www.kzrider.com/forum/9-chit-chat/607489...d-for-my-kaws#792871
I'm also into tinkering for it's own sake. Here's a roto molder I built:
I'm not at all interested in roto molding. Once I finished the roto molder I covered it with plastic and put it into storage.
You asked about hobbies other than motorcycling. How about three wheels?

I've had a lot of hobbies over the years like taking pictures on shitty cameras
I like working on and building guitars, my sunburst left and latest on the right,
A Baritone/Butterscotch Tele ,she plays beautifully
Some past projects,
77 Ibanze Challenger, a freebee basket case,
Now my pride and joy, nothing but the best went into this one.
My Chandlers
I make my nuts out of Beef minestrone soup bones

GREAT LOOKING GUITARS!!!!!
You do some fancy building bluej58. Its hard to find workmanship like that today!!!
I can't play note on any musical instrument. But I did get to see two of the greatest guitarist ever many times up close in concert My favorite has always been Pete Townshend with Stevie Ray Vaughan a close second!!!

Yeah I saw the Who at the old stadium, SRV at the Aragon Brawl room and somewhere else...?
I was looking at the old ticket stubs from the 70's and I have at least a dozen from the Amphitheater that don't have the names left on them
I know that you had a connection to that place, saw a lot of great shows there, Deep Purple, Rare Earth, Humble Pie, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep,Robin Trower, I'm sure that I've forgot a bunch.
some of the biggest memory's of that place was all the M-80's be set off at the Sabbath show and waiting in line to piss in a sink
and Loop fest, I was on a double date with my wife and her twin sister but I was dating her sister at the time :woohoo:

The biggest band to play at our school was Styx , the best was The Siegel–Schwall Band They played In Downers Grove a lot back then thankfully.
Never saw MC5 but I wish I had, Saw the Motor City Mad Mad a couple of times, He claimed his guitar could blow the balls off a charging rhino at 100 yards :woohoo:
Here are some pics I took on a good camera for a change of Frank Zappa at the Park West circa 1981
The body of the stratocaster Frank is playing in the top 2 pics was one that Hendricks burned at a Florida show, now owned by Dezzil Zappa, his son.

Just finished building the very same model airplane that was the first ever airplane model I built as a child back in the '60's!!!! Its the old Monogram 1/48 scale Hawker Hurricane. I did both in the desert camouflage that the British used back in North Africa during the early part of WW II. Check out the pilot. Since he is British, I made sure he has a Graham Hill style mustache!!!!

Haven't been back to museum since 1991.
Did they move the whole layout or just build more displays around it??
The layout in Cornville has over 6,000 FEET of track. Not scale feet, but real FEET OF TRACK!!! Three levels of track!!!
Plus they just added a second building to their first building!!!! Their first building was like a 80 X 60 foot building
Bet you its like three or four times the size of the one in the Chicago museum.
