Fitting Ignition to a GPZ1100 84=85 motor

I searched this forum but couldn't find details of using Ignition on a GPZ1100 84 -85 Unitrack Kawasaki.

I will be using carburetors (Injection totally removed) can I use the standard ignition module and timing pickups at the end of the crank (if so how does the advance work) or is there a Dyna ignition system that fits. I know the points/ ignition cover is different to the earlier models.

 

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

I am planning to fit an A2 ignition module, pick ups and end housing to my 1000K. The ignition is standalone (I believe the module is 21119-1071) The advance curve is fully electronic and is mapped in the control module (see thread "retrofit ignition")

Thankyou, I suppose my bikes have been going too well to consult / read the posts.
I now have a GPZ1100 83 unitrack motor which has been totally rebuilt (just the head to finish next week). I want to replace the standard as new GPZ1100B1 motor in my Franken bike (with 83 cams), this motor develops 95RWH BUT I always wanted the 83 so when a good engine was advertised I bought it,

Would it make sense to install J-head valve components (springs, retainers, buckets, etc) into the ZX1100A head to simplify lash adjustments, comparatively speaking?

Correct, not the head, just the valve components...

Easily change shims without removing the camshafts, comparatively speaking of course.

That 1100 is really nice Bozo  Thanks again. This particular engine has a J model head, I did clean up the porting. Cams are GPZ1100 83 Unitrack model. Would you believe there are around 17 different motorcycle bits used hence Frankenstein,CBR1000F wheels, speedhut gauges, zx10 clutch lever, ZRX1100 carbies, GTR1400 radial master brake, EX650 brakes (new addition re welded brackets), GPZ900R Front end, GPZ750 turbo swingarm, ZX750R Bitubo Shock (this bike weights 215kg with fuel), marving race pipe plus many more.Handles and goes incredible BUT I still want the GPZ1100 83 Unitrack motor

I can easily believe the "donor" list. Don't know if you have seen my build thread but I will end up at a similar number of donors I think
