Technically, both styles are gravity feed. The vacuum operated version has an on/off valve operated by engine vacuum. When the engine is running, negative pressure (vacuum) overcomes a spring in the valve and gravity pulls the fuel out of the tank, into the carburetors. When the engine is off, the spring closes the valve and no fuel flows.

Glad I don't have to go anywhere. Last big snow here, I didn't see a snowplow come down our street for at least two or three days!!!!

Prescott weather report please !
In my part of town, I have 13~14 inches on the ground right now. Got real nasty yesterday afternoon. It was coming down 2 to 3 inches an hour with big time wind!!! Plus its that wet heavy snow. Not too much moving up and down my street even today yet. Even the garbage trucks are not picking up today!!!!
I-17 is shut down from Camp Verde to Flagg!!! I-40 down west of Flagg. State route 89 around Sedona shutdown as is parts of State route 260 going toward Pine Strawberry. It even snowed in Scottsdale yesterday!!!!!!!
Got enough food, drink, meds, model paint and glue to keep me busy as long as this s**t lasts!!!! I really like this retired life when the weather gets like this!!!!!
Great time to be building models!!!!!!

Same here!!! Nearest hobby shop to me is down in Phoenix 100 miles away. I buy most of my model supplies from MegaHobby online. Testors is now out of the modelling hobby. No more Model Master paints, and their tube glue is real hard to find anymore. I still use their tube glue for most of my joints on my models.
Tamiya has this great liquid extra thin glue. Plus they have a QUICK SETTING version too. This stuff is great because you don't have to wait hours for a glue joint to harden up. I do think the Testors tube glue gives you a stronger glue joint.
My neighbor bought me the very last of the Testors red tube glue at the local Hobby Lobby!!!!

They're predicting some snow in the next few days, though, so we'll see what happens. I wouldn't mind a little bit of snow -looks at the snowshoes sitting in the corner-
At least now that my first winter project of getting the engine in my sailboat running again is done, I can focus on the bike!

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
