Last winter was extraordinary for snow here in the BC interior. But as I write this we have no snow on the ground and have had only a couple of smallish snowfalls so far during the so called winter. Very unusual, but temperatures are too cool (around freezing) to bother taking a bike out.
I'm working on VM24 carbs today. Very similar to 26's, but a few wrinkles. The PO said he rebuilt them...yeah right! He put new float valves and jets into them. Never bothered to clean the main emulsion tube...full of gasoline snot. The outsides were covered with grease and dirt. The joiner between carbs was cracked and has to be replaced. What's with the two intake ports on the downstream side of #2 carb? Never see that before.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I'll never understand why they call it an Alberta clipper. It's beautiful, warm, and the sun is shining here.
