Bill
It has a custom exhaust that was made for the bike, somebody who does race exhaust.

I'd toss the seat and put the stock rim back on. Chrome swingarm is pretty cool!

9er rider wrote: I have a 76 and a78 1000 I put them together to how I like them. To me, a bone stock bike doesn't do much for me except the lines, kz's are exceptional! When I got mine 42 years ago, I was told there will always be a faster, shinier, bigger, better one. If you park your bike and not look at it again walking away,,, you bought the wrong one! Motorcycles are very personal machines, I suggest BUY IT! And keep a cool tool and make it the way you want to ride. Thats a nice bike and you will be told so when you ride up to get gas.
It's going to be a rider. I'm not focused on a 100% authentic bike, just want to make sure I don't overpay and can at least get my money out of it, if and or when that day ever comes. Like I said, I've been looking for almost 2 years. This is the closest I've seen that makes me even think about it!

KZQ wrote: If you're going to make it an every day rider you'll never get $5,500.00 out of it later. The only way that bike might be worth $5,500.00 is if it's a show bike, which I'm not sure it is, with less than 50 miles on it.

Won't be an everyday rider. It's the only KZ that looks halfway decent that doesn't cost a fortune that I've seen in this area. I've bought plenty of bikes even cross country which wouldn't stop me from looking elsewhere, guess the prices here are higher than where you're at.
