Thanks Dave for approaching me to make my Zed the bike of the month, it has been an honour considering all the bikes that could have been chosen. Many members hard work and talent is overlooked and this is a great forum to showcase that ability.
Thanks to all members for their positive comments as it helps when the going gets tough on a project.
Cheers in advance to the next BOTM as I know it will be a good one.

Its the last month of the year and time for the last BOTM for 2016

Its also time to show off a modified machine as I do every other month

and do I have a winner for you all to see!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets give a big KZR welcome to ZED1015 and his incredible machine

Zed ( Rob Meggitt ) got bored one day and decided to build another project bike, and am I glad he did..

He started a build thread 6 long years ago and the results are over the top..

ZED titled his build thread New Project , 1428 turbo or supercharged , who knows

Well, No 1428 , No blower of any kind but still a one off beauty that is a true work of art !!!!!

Engine is a KZ 900 with 1015 cc Handmade header, ZX10R front end , Gixxer 1000 swingarm and the frame came from a Zepher 750

Other than that ZED made the majority of the bike in his shop

So please join me again in congratulating ZED 1015 to being our December Bike of the Month ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Here are a few shots to go along with our cover page fader which also shows our Bike of the Year

Absolutely a Killer Machine :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Have a ball checking out Zeds custom work

What made you abandon the rear shock setup, and what shock are you using currently?

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.

There are several reasons.
One is that I found a lighter and nicer GSXR1000 swinger in my stash which I felt the bracing maybe wasn't suitable or strong enough to take a cantilever mount so I went with the Suzuki rocker arm and dogbones and another is that the top mount wanted to occupy the same space as the fuel tank baffle box.
The shock was a bandit 600 with an R1 spring but I have since fitted a custom Hagon shock to my spec as the bandit one was a little harsh.
The blue springed Buell cantilever shock and Srad arm hasn't been abandoned though and will find it's way on to my next Zed build. :-)

Holy Shnikeys, that is some nice bike. Love all the one-off stuff and home made tank and tailpiece. Man, It is sure nice to see the talents of people on this site who have the vision to create something this cool.
Kudos to you Rob for a great build.

Very impressive piece of machinery!!!! Work of art might be a better term to use.

I don't know if the dry stator setup, or if the hand formed fuel tank gets my award for neatest part on the bike.

Congratulations Sir on a true piece of motorcycle engineering.

ZEDs and a lot of other bikes have been waiting their turns patiently. The problem as I have said before

is their is only 12 Months in a year , So only 12 BOTMs in a whole year and 6 are stock and 6 are modified.

Kinda slows down how fast I can feature new bikes.

Maybe we can find a new calendar that has a new month every 2 weeks

That would help me out

Meanwhile Im going to enjoy ZEDs Rocketship
