I've restored at least half dozen sets of those Keihin's, during which time I learned a thing or two.
And speaking of that...be sure to inspect your float bowl overflow tubes carefully. They love to crack. It's not too hard to replace them so don't panic if they are. Also, be sure to remove the pilot screws; drill a hole in the cap and then thread in a screw which you can use as a lever to pull the cap out with Then make a small hook tool from a piece of wire and remove the spring, washer, and old o-ring before dipping the bodies to clean them.

I already removed all the plugs. They came out really easily. Should I remove the bleed pipes? They are underneath the primary main jets - I just can't see any screw driver slot. The one I messed up and had to drill out, I ended up kissing the top of the bleed pipe with the drill bit.

Yes, remove the bleed pipes. Push them out from the carb throat side. Be sure to remove the pilot jets too.

The frame, kick stand, motor mounts, battery tray, and a bunch of other brackets are off to the powder coater today! Might as well get those going while I tinker with the carb rebuilds. 8-D

And yes, some of the float bowl overflow tubes are cracked. I was aware of the potential problem after reading some of the threads on these in the Carburetor forum.

This overflow tube was split, and partially cracked around at the press line. Even being gentle, it snapped off flush. I managed to get the piece out with an easy out, again being very gentle.

Anyone have any tips on how to get a brake caliper piston unstuck? It's been soaking in penetrating oil for a few days now, but still won't budge... this is on the rear caliper.

boil the whole caliper, and then pop it out with compressed air.

Sometimes pressured air into the brake line fitting did the job. If not a grease gun did a 40 times higher pressure.
