It says to check with bike on centre stand. However this is with stock rear shocks. I found that when I replaced the stock shocks with ones that were slightly taller I needed to check with both wheels on the ground otherwise the chain ended up to tight or had a tight spot with a repetitive click. A tight chain can damage bearings at the front sprocket.

Bike is riding great accept... on Monday she died on me as I was on my way home from work. I couldn't get her started again without a portable jumper battery hooked up. As soon as I removed the jumper she would quickly die. Battery was drained. I left her in a lot, walked home in 94 degree heat (jacket and helmet in tow) unhooked my camper (was leaving that evening for a week), hooked up my trailer and went to pick her up. Got her home and set her up on the trickle charger. I got back yesterday and she is fine. Starts right up, runs like a top. So, any suggestions on steps I can take to trouble shoot the electrical charging issue? Is it possible I drained the battery running hi-beams all the time? Thanks folks.

I cleaned them up and put it back together. It was disconnected and arcing is my guess.
