These are mobile screenshots off the ad.

i posted it in the ebay/craigslist thread and couldn't resist it.

The seller couldn't get it to start without splashing gas on the air filter and has a known charging issue.

I made a deal with the seller that he takes care of the carb issues and I'll take care of the charging issues. I have a stator on the way and I already have a MOSFET regulator out of a Concourse ready to go.

I'm pretty eager to ride it. well since my indecent on my GPz. I'm waiting for the seller to get it back from his mechanic.

The only things i don't like about it are the bags and the 85 mph speedo.

There's another one listed locally, same color but has a Windjammer on it and the seller hasn't gotten it started.

I picked it up this morning. Totally different than my GPz. Rides really nice though. It's going to need a little massaging to get it running it's best but it starts up and runs.

I took the ugly bags off and put a mid quality stator and a regulator from a concourse in. It was a bit of a quick job with parts taken from my GPz but it will do for now.

I can get it inspected and licensed first thing.

I'll post pics when I get a minute to take some decent ones.

Lol I took the cup holder of this morning.

I rode it to work but it didn't want to start. The starter was spinning but wasn't engaging. If I rocked the bike back and forth in first it would catch. Wasn't doing this yesterday. Do I need a new starter clutch? Would the one off the KZ1000E I'm parting fit?

Then my boss came out to look at it and the right side cover was missing....

Holy Crap!

How do you guys ride with these damned windshields?

I feel like I've been baked to death. I've ridden in hotter weather in the same gear on my 750 and not been so hot! RIDE NAKED!

The windsield is coming off pronto. I might put it back on after it cools down.

If feel like I'm riding my 750 from the back and I'm in sand. Talk about a different sensation.

Mine isn't so large. It helps cut the wind and I am more relaxed. I'd like one like that for winter riding.

I do have a smaller one but I don't think it will make a difference. It's coming off. If my brother wants to put it back on when I get my 750 running again he can.

Moving right along. It looks like I'll be pulling the starter clutch off the 1000 and putting it on the 1100. Sucks that I'll have to drain the oil again.

Is it supposed to feel like a hobby horse every time I get on the throttle and/or the brakes? Not a sarcastic remark just an observation. I guess I should really get a FSM before long but I think I can get along with the 1000 for now.

Another thing. I hit reserve and I filled up but i couldn't get the tripometer to reset. This has a separate electronic trip/odo unit, is it very hard to service/repair? Speaking of which. I think the speedo is on it's last legs. It is bouncing a bit and one of the screws that holds on the face has fallen out. I passed one of those radar speed check signs this morning and it seems to be reading slow too. I'd like to get a UK spec one but they are hard to find and apparently it was the same unit that was used on the ELR that it will be a trick to find one without paying a fortune.

I did get it inspected and licensed.

Should be able to change the clutch without changing the oil.
