ZR750C Moriwaki Endurance Racer was created by kretchman
Hi Guys,

I'm about halfway through a rebuild of my zephyr 750. It started life as a cobbled together commuter so I slowly converted it to a cafe with USD front end and a new tail section from a 900ss duc. It was great fun to ride and I did some big klm trips on it, but was getting to the point of needing a freshen up in more than a few areas so I decided to go all out. I always loved gardner's z1, and have been drooling over 8hr endurance bikes and Bol d'or's etc. I love vintage motorsport!

Here's a pic of it after the cafe build. I'll add more pics of the work done to date for those interested.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Next steps are mount the new 12 row oil cooler and powdercoat the frame etc while the engine gets finished.

Then it's final dry fit, paint (moriwaki livery with period decals), new exhaust fab and electrics.

Hoping to have it finished by October 2016 for our annual run from Sydney to Phillip Island for the MotoGP.

Thanks mate. I should be clear, the fab work is not mine, I've had to outsource to some local builders. The bike is in Sydney, but I'm currently working in India for a few years so it's ll being done remotely! The design and procurement is the hard part because it's a bit of a frankenstein (though mostly all kwaka). I've lost count of the number of hours spent on procurement of parts making sure it'll all come together right first time and look the way I intend. So far no missteps!
