OMR's new girl: '76 KZ-900-A4 Barn find

Well finally got her home from Denver Barn find....

Non running but truly clean other than dust.... Last registered 1994.
*Ok, other than the god awful ugly ass seat.... Seat's got to go.....

Metzler tubless tires, still in good shape, no cracks (will replace just the same)
Not seized, pulled plug turns over w/kick starter no problem (check compression / leak down test later on).
Plugs nice tan to charcoal color.
Right plastic side cover not painted... :huh:
battery way dead.
Carbs: Slides are stuck in place, already started taking them apart... Slides & jets are GUNKED up.
Z! order list in the making.

So the fun begins, in 0 rush on this one & she will stay stock, no performance build.
Will paint factory later on (Diamond green w/pin striping).
Will leave points & condenser ignition.
Will most likely go 4-4 exhaust... Keep the Kerker for the '78 KZ1000.

So it begins........

Really sweet bike OMR.......and with only 6000 miles !!!!! Whatta score !!!! You sure not even a teeny weeny performance upgrade??? Better springs in the forks for handling maybe or some such completely hidden mods ????

Titled, $1000.... :woohoo:

I've already built/have a performance KZ and now how much work, time & $$$$ it takes to accomplish.
This one, going to leave stock and sit on her for 5-10 years, possibly longer who knows....

Point being these are getting hard to find out here and are fetching high dollar for a clean/stock machine any longer. So somewhat an investment where keep her mileage low. Be my Sunday driver here and there. If I want to go fast/pull the trigger for a boner, bring out the 1075 girl...

Front brake caliper needs to be rebuilt....

Carbs now worky, totally stuck slides, jets, needle.....
So it begins.... Jeff @ Z1 is going to just LUV me...... :laugh:
