I was working on the bike with my (at the time) girlfriends little brother. Caught the now ex girlfriend cheating (1.5 years down the drain) so I have relocated the bike.loudhvx wrote: What were you using as a work table in that first photo?
If I remember correctly it was a 58 Buick we were using as a bench.

I am not quite sure what you mean by that. I'm doing the carb conversation because it seemed to be the easiest way to get the bike running.swest wrote:

The stock carbs on the bike refuse to work without the stock airbox, which is missing and damn near impossible to find.

Yeah, those CV carbs are a bitch to work on. When they work, they handle altitude changes and are stingy on gas. When they don't they'll take all your money. It's best to keep them of possible.
