a hydraulic clutch consist of a master cylinder mounted to the handlebar and operated buy a lever connected with a line to the slave cylinder down on the clutch cover that pushes the clutch pushrod in to release the clutch.
you savvy?

i chucked the lower zx triple in the lathe and used some emery cloth on my finger to polish up inside the zx stem for an accurate measurement.well with the od of the kz stem and id of the zx stem polished there was .0015 press fit.:) no isn't that special  .
so i put the zx tree in the vise and broke out the porta band(i love that thing:silly: )and sawed the stem off.

affirmative sir!
thats you scooby doo!

hydraulic clutch usually means less effort on the lever is needed.it also has less"feel",not so big a deal on the street.i raced on dirt tracks and am used to slipping a clutch to manipulate my engines rpm,so i don't like hydraulic clutches and preffer the "feel" of a cable clutch.
you have to decide whatcha like. :P

here we have the kz stem ready for marriage to the zx triple.the honorable 531blackbanshee will be officiating the ceremony, haha.

next up is giving them a nice place to dwell in the upper triple clamp.that will require the mill and the boring head to called on for duty:ohmy: .
the stem is bigger than the hole(ideal marriage?:silly: )and will require boring the triple to be a slip fit for the stem.
