Oh yeah, its a 460 cu. in with approx 550hp. Mallory hyfire 6a ignition, monster cam with .580 lift, 2 600 cfm holleys, c-6 sith shift kit and a 3000 stall converter and a 9" rear with 4:56 gears and a Detroit Locker. Thanks Bhardy, I hope I've been able to provide enough information to help others endevering to accomplish a similar project, and not make some of the mistakes I have.

That Porsche of mine is more trouble than its worth, but it all seems worth it when you suprise some poor unsuspecting sports car.

Thanks to a $20 donation I made to another member here, supercharged, I have donor aftermarket side covers.

BTW, supercharged has a very nice collection of bikes including his bad ass roots blown KZ :woohoo: I could spend hours pouring over his bikes :cheer:
The plan: to use these covers as plugs to make tooling molds and replicate these in carbon fiber. I still need to order some tooling gelcoat for the molds, and a vacuum pump  Harbor freight, here I come!

CF sidecovers...hmmm! Let me know if you need a source for epoxy resin. Are you gonna cover your tank in CF like a certain other member here?

Thanks Josh, I'll have to check, but I think I'm OK on epoxy...... unless I end up making more than a couple sets  I'd still like to know a good supply source. I know I am low on fabric though, got a good source for that? I will not cover my tank in cf, IMO it would look better painted.
Thank you for the vote of confidence Leon. I know others have talked about doing it, but I haven't found a dedicated thread to it yet, so........... I'll start one once I have the materials together and we'll go through it together. ;)

Try this place: boatbuildercentral.com/
They should have both, and their prices are usually good.

Well, crap. I got all my rear shock mounts tacked up and set the girl on her new back end for the first time (still missing a front wheel) :woohoo: Then I thought hey, now that I don't have a center mount under the bike anymore, I can fit up the Yoshimura header I got. I was pleased that the cross bracing I started in the front cradle cleared the header nicely, then DOH!

It would appear that this header configuration will not work with a mono shock linkage! Soooooooooo, it looks like this Yosh Seies II system will be available to some other lucky KZR member that isn't running a monoshock setup....

Damned custom bikes! Nothing ever fits right. That's the thing about trailblazing. Sometimes you have to backtrack. I bet you can sell that pipe in short order. Hurry and delete all of the pictures with dings, and pinholes.

looking at that collecter and the section of straight tube coming from the head side.can you section about a 2 inch piece out of the pipe and then put a 45 or 60 on there to clear the lower shock bracket?or does the design of the thru body exhaust go right thru the middle of the sw arm?dont know how modding header ahead of collecter will affect performance?

its hard to tell in the pic, but the primaries look to be very long. u need to talk Sander out of his new shorty that he's building.

I certainly could do that, but I'd feel guilty cutting up a classic Yosh header. Then of course the Yosh slip on woudn't fit right either, so I'm better off leaving it as it is and using it as leverage to get some of the parts i still need. I know that sounds a little hypocritical after what I've done to my Kz, but the reality is I can buy another Kz frame cheaper than I could another classic Yoshimura exhaust system.

Mark, that is the exact same comment OMR had- my primaries look extra long. But the reality is the centerline measurement of the #4 primary tube is only 29.5" (approximately)
Soooooo, last Friday I got a new Harbor freight tool-

Their beautiful (for H.F.) tubing roller

The first piece I bent got awfully tweaked in the Z direction since I wasn't paying attention. The next piece I bent (1") I welded a handle on one end to allow me to control any Z axis roll while running the tubing through the roller. That second piece got chopped up and used as the perimeter tubes for a little push bike I'm making for my daughter
