VERY NICE JOB!!:woohoo:
mine is allmost the same. i used the 95 forks. what do u mean by "no preload adj" ?
can u add details about the 6" rim fitment? did u use a zx11 caliper arm?
did u use a 5/8" offset sprocket?
i was able to gut and shim the stock chain cover, and use it with my 5/8" sprocket.

Did you have to go to a 530 chain for frame clearance?

a 530 and 630 are the same width. i used a 630. i heated the frames rail on the inside, with a torch and squeesed it with a c lamp for more clearance.
Here is my project link. maybe it will be of some help.

Tears of joy!... Seriously, that is freaking BEAUTIFUL!

Larry C went ZX-7 on the back as well and in speaking with him, what a job it was to get it to all work... Hell, I thought I had to do some fabbing with my ZX-6 setup....

You're going to really love the updated suspension especially on winding/twisty roads. Just lean and she'll follow.... My buds on all their new bikes still can't believe how the old girl responds and rides... They still shake their heads in disbelief.

The updated brakes make one hell of a difference when a damn coyote runs across the road! Or when some ass wipe is on their frigin cell phone trying to text message...

Anyhoot, phenomenal job you accomplished on the old girl, looks killer and will ride so smooth you're going to get a woody. Don't ask how I know this fact...

mark1122,

the rear is as follows:

swingarm ZRX1200
Rear wheel is a zx9 6"
Caliper is ZRX1200
Brake arm is a ZRX at one end and cut and welded FZ700 at the caliper end.
I made the rear wheel spacers but still need to perfect them. I am going to machine some aluminum ones that look and fit better then the current steel ones i made before.

i have heard that a zx11d caliper arm will fit.
i think i will change to a 1/2' offset sprocket , so i can fit in an O ring chain.
my heavy duty 630 chain is stretching like crazy.
I just realized that since my swing arm is lower than it should be,(about 3.5" due to the shocks being too long) it is stretching the hell out of my chain. As the shocks compress over a bump , the chain gets tighter. If I adjust the chain to have 1.250" of slack and then compress the shock 3", the chain is sprung very tight. This explains why my chain has stretched sooo much. i may need to take out a link:(
Looking at your pic, i'd say u are going to have the same trouble. how long is your shock? mine is 14 1/8".
try putting the bike on a jack, remove the lower shock mont bolts, lower the bike to act as the shocks are compressing. now watch the chain to see how tight it gets as u lower the bike. Just a heads up bud. maybe yours is just fine?

That is really sweet looking. Can't wait to see it at Mods next year! Very nice job Greg. B)

So when do we get to wire it for kick only and ditch the battery? ;)

HHHHmmm i do have a cb750 project that i could do that too. I may take you up on that offer.:) My honda could use some electrical love since i am electrically challenged. Can i pay in beer and bike parts?
