1075 pistons
395 cams
h.d valve springs
h.d. clutch springs
ported and polished
welded/balanced crank
undercut tranny
this is what powerhouse did to my engine. the port job is to match the rs36's this guy has a lot of experience with old bikes but has moved also to new bikes also. i dont think you can stay in business with just doing old kz's he is local to me and has a impressive shop/750hp dyno and was recommended by some of the heavy hitters around here. we will find out soon enough! and i can always change the head too if i am not happy. this week it should come alive. What kind of rear shocks you got on that baby? i am leaning towards saving a few bucks and going with progressive springs but not the expensive nitrogen piggyback setup like you got. please give me your thoughts on them.

I would think Frank knows his KZ's. Frank just knows his stuff.

I do hope he is starting to massage the ZX14s. Roy

I'm sure it will rip in the top end. It is just that it is not common to see big carbs matched to small cams.Big carbs are common for a drag bike. a 1075cc and 37mm intakes, is a perfect match for 31mm carbs if u want all around performance. But it dosnt matter. it will still rip.
Did they put in bigger valves?
As for the shocks. the progressives will be fine . u wont be able to take advantage of a better shock, until u brace the frame.
She's going to be a nice bike.B)

Here is an idea on shocks. Maybe worth an email to the seller since they are not currently on ebay. I marked the item for possible use on my next build.

$180 for the pair delivered.

Oh... I have 34RSs on the Vetter bike and that has an 1105 with stock cams. It has more bottom end then I ever expected. Hit the throttle and found myself wheeling 1-3. I have it parked until we finish the magazine shoot for obvious reasons.

I have new 36mm RSs here for the next job, and may just use another 1105, instead of the planned 1200. This one will have a full head job, cams and under bucket shims. Even if it has a bit less bottom end as discussed here, I won't mind. This job is slow moving since the economy isn't looking like anyone will buy these units for what I have into them... and I really don't need all that I have.

Wow! Thats hallin ass.Thats good to hear. i was woried he would lose too much down low. I guess if u keep the cams and ports small your ok. it just seems like toooo much carb.
That is 1 sweet ride u have there.

Sorry! i tried to attach a vid but it didnt take. I fired it up and was exciting. i will try to figure out how to do it. I see supercharged used youtube. I am considering every option for shocks as i have not made a selection yet. I am going to look at zrx12 shocks now, thanks.

ZRX shocks have pro's and cons.
They look good. They can work good if the geometry is right..

In order to get the spring rate correct, u must mount them in there stock ZRX geometry, as they were meant to work at this lean angle and leverage point.
If u move the bottom mount forward or back, the leverage applied will be dif. And the spring rate will be incorrect. U need about 25 to 30mm of sag, or they will feel too stif. If u are a heavy person , it will help. The zrx shocks are on the long side at 14 ¼”. Look back a page at Drooz red bike. He has his leaned forward at the top like a ZRX.
