One suggestion for you...if you find the 7" headlight too small for the wider front end get ahold of a 8" Gs1100 headlight. Here's my 1000 with a police front end (wider than a normal Kz) and a 8" Gs light.
Keep up the awesome fabrication.

does anyone know if a busa frontend is the same.
thanks,

I'm 99% sure the 99-07 Busa share the same fork tube diameters for upper and lower triple clamps as the '01-03 Gsxr750/1000 but something makes me think the offsets are different.

I guess were just gonna have to build a bottom tree:)
it should allow the use of busa forks...and maybe others....basically limited to the O.D of the fork tubes at the two clamp locations (upper/lower).
and these will allow the stock guages to be run...and if we are lucky...I think that you will be able to set the guages at 4 different height and angle positions
stock angle&height
" " 1" lower
flat angle stock height
" " 1" lower
I have recieved several PM's in regards to a price for these ....It is my intension to price them as competitve as I can...
I would Like to know what you guys think they would be worth
top clamp /with bar mount
bottom clamp
stem
headlight bracket
polished or anodized

check back through the post doug.he has the stock guage set on this upper tree.he has a picture of it on the bike.
He's using a Z1 cluster. The Kz style mounts differently.
Z1 cluster looks like this...
Kz cluster looks like this...

whos got a set of kz guages they want to part with ?
I think I have an extra set at home. Perhaps we can work out a trade of some sort?
The gauges changed in '76 when Kaw went to the Kz designation. The 650/750 Twins/900/1000 up to 1980-ish use the same mounting bracket I believe.

Let me know what you need to make it happen Doug....I would send the bracket/guages back to you and we could work out some kind of deal on a set as payment/rent ( for the use of your guages)
