Question...
Does that GSXR front end include a speedometer drive unit?
If so, are they in the same ratio's (drive unit to speedo)?
If not, how are you going to drive the analog speedometer?
OMR
Cable driven speedo's were only used up thru '95 on the 750's and '98 on the 1100's. You cannot run a speedo drive on the newer front ends without some good amount of work. Trust me as I have a '01 Gsxr600 front end and a rim from a '95 Gsxr750. With the speedo drive the hub assembly is about 3mm too wide. If you do figure out how to trim the speedo drive down enough the axles are 5mm different OD so a custom axle and spacers would have to be made.

Yup, that is what I was figuring as well....
Was curious how this was gong to work...
I ran into the same issue with the zx636 front end, no speed drive unit henceforth on to Digital speed/tach unit.

In all the excitment I completely overlooked that.
FU@K!!!
All is not lost though....I think I can put a SPA speedo in the original speedo pod....it is a digital speedo...that uses a stepper motor to drive a needle so it has that anolog look...
It is not for sure but I am hoping....I'll have to get one and see.
I am also gonna see if there is not something I can do to mod the original to work...although it sounds like you guy's have explored that .
I guess if it was easy everyone would be doin it...LOL

I must be the bearer of bad news. First the fork stops, then the difference in gauge styles, then the speedo drive issue.
You still interested in a Kz gauge bracket?

man doug, first your g-f wrecks your car
Yeah, we got the insurance quote back and it was a little over $2K worth of damage. Nothing like having the insurance company pay $583 for a brand new OEM hood when they could buy a Carbon Fibr hood for about the same price.
Irish,
I also have something that you could mass produce for these bikes that I think some people will buy. E-mail me and I can get you some details.
