Well it has started...I found some time to start Penelope's Z1.
started out as a '75 Z1 900
and with some luck it will be turned into a hybrid of old and new ...basically a resto mod.
it will have
1075 breathing through a set of 29's
under cut tranny
gsxr front and rear (mono shock)
reworked electrics
'74 bodywork just cause.

well that is definitly not a hacksaw and file your doing it with is it.

yes everything is 4130 cromoly ....the plates are 1/8th...but I would use a lighter guage in the future for the rear ones....1/8th is really hard to bend around the back bone...I think 16 guage would do nicely.
I will see what I paid for the 4130 palte and post a price for the plates.
Plummen ...that thing is braced as much as mcbrides top fuel bike LOL...nice work
