started working on the rearend today, trying to get the stance right, I did lower it about 2 inches in the rear.
Then I was checking chain alignment and realized that when I narrowed the swinger I flipped it over and then cut down the WRONG side, FUCK
so today I bought another swinger, and now I have to move all my mounts, luckily I have not welded anything, only tacked.
so this little fuck-up only cost $50 and a couple hours time, oh well shit happens.
I'll post up some pics later when I can use my other computer.
by the way I do have a stock 7" round headlight, but I like the cyclops look,
sorry to all you haters
ok here are a few pics with it lowered, I think it looks right.
BTW the tires are half flat, but they are even LOL

It is a willingness to take the chance to maybe f*ck (that better?)up something expensive, and try again![/color]

my own way of thinking, not to be confused with logic. LOL

ordered a new front wheel today, my last major purchase, besides my tires, and chain and maybe custom sprockets.
oh yeah, and maybe a 750 or 1200 bandit motor, not sure how the frame would handle the extra weight and HP, maybe cheaper to just build the 550

finally decided to give glassing my rear cowling a go.
got my wire frame fabbed up, glass is cut, started putting resin on.

Lesson 1: I found out you need to trim MOST of the exccess glass off, once the resin starts to flow it adds a lot of weight and wants to pull the glass off the form. once the resin is on, to late. once it sets I'm sure I did other things wrong, oh well.
finally got a brand new front wheel, WOOT, only a few BIG things to buy now.
once it sets I will trim it up and take a couple more pics before I add any more layers.

well the first layer of glass has set and I have rough trimmed it, didn't turn out as bad as I thought it might, still need to lay at least one or two more layers, had to put tape on the corners of my wire frame because the glass fabric kept getting hung up on it.

my Gpz oilpan arrived today to go with my Gpz 750 oil cooler, now just waiting on my pan gasket to arrive. also my brother in law was able to machine the brake spacers for my gsxr radial mounts, WOOT

ordered my front wheel bearings today for my new front wheel, most of the big stuff is now bought, still need tires, chain and a few more things I'm sure I will discover along the way, it is finally starting to come together

layed a second layer on my tail cowling, no pics, looks the same as the last time, just dripping resin this time.
while I was waiting for the resin to set, I had an idea for the headlight that everyone hates.
tell me what you think about a little fiberglass dash with my acewell inset and a little cowl / screen around.
don't want to hear about how much you hate the lights, please just comment on the concept.
I mocked it up out of my new best friend
a couple pics

I thought a solid plan veiw might help, wrapped my mock-up in the duck tape to make my idea a little easier to visualize.
This is not the final shape, just a crude mock-up that took me ten minutes to fab

From certain angles - such as your next to last photo - it looks like your head-light is an alien wearing a tiny cowboy hat...don't know if that's a good thing or not, just an observation.
