I have been told it is a kz 550 A1 standard
looking to make a streetfighter/commuter out of this, should be a fun project(probably expensive)
currently riding a 06 yamaha fjr 1300
44 years old,retired welder/fabricator
currently a Q.C. welding inspector.
I would like to update the front end to inverted forks, twin brakes in front and mono shock rear running 17" wheels front and back.
anyone else doing this kind of project? I know I will need some technical help for fitment of these newer parts.

It is a willingness to take the chance to maybe f*ck (that better?)up something expensive, and try again![/color]
my own way of thinking, not to be confused with logic. LOL

Pleeeeeease.
Yes, it is definately a standard (A1, A2, A3, A4), if its an A1 = 1980, A2 = 1981 and so on.

the link is the clymer manual, stole it from Corey Clough myself!
Please don't hesitate to ask for help, there's lots of it here.

don't want to start cutting the frame until I get my rear swinger, might need some extra metal out back.
I did a falco project a while back and didn't take any build pics, won't make that mistake again

gave the ol' makita a work out.
I put the speedo out front to give
a visual to myself of what a dual headlight setup would look like.
I thought it looked good
here are some pictures of cut frame and ROUGH mock-ups to check
the lines ENJOY
