Cylinder liners was created by notamotorbikemechanic
Hi, im new to the forum (1st post)
I have two early 90's Zephyr's,  which I'm restoring for my youtube channel the 750 has destroyed piston number two, and taken the liner out with it 🙄
I have two choices, get a 2nd hand set of bores or replace the liner....which I would prefer,  as the the other three bores are good.
unfortunately I'm having trouble sourcing a liner, hoping someone out there can help.
I live in the UK.
Thanks in advance

If they are no longer available from Kawasaki, I would contact these folks.

Either what Texas said or go shopping for some barrels and transplant the best liner.

It's not as simple as just popping in a new liner.  The liner may or may not be flush with the deck surface.  Milling the surface may be needed.

I just picked up a set of barrels and pistons. Cost $100 and then ran them until I got a new Wiseco piston to be back where I was.

Kawasaki has never listed replacement liners, but you could by the whole cylinder. They still list that part as available but its stupid crazy money.

Not sure if the earlier 750 liners would be the exact same dimensions either. Better off to look for a good used cylinder at a parts breaker, even a damaged one will have one good liner if it comes to that.

That's what I did. Had lower compression than before but the bike ran great until I was able to get the parts together to go higher compression pistons. One fin was broken so I repaired that. Sent my old barrels and had APE bore and match a 1075 kit I bought. Should have bought it from them. Would have saved $100 or more.
Quick search came up with these.
