These appear to be available. Has anyone attempted to use one of these on a KZ750 or Z1?
It seems they get replaced with GSXR units (the forks too) so they are reasonably priced. I think I can get the whole package (arm, axle, brakes and wheel) for under what a GS1100 arm goes for.

I don't know specifics about your swingarm. But, I've had really good results from "Mother's Alminum Polish"
The two covers were really yucky before. They look better in person than in this picture. The clutch cover is reflective enough to see myself in. But, it doesn't show on this picture. I wish I had a better pic. But, they didn't look like they had been cleaned EVER when I started and it didn't take long to get them to look really good.
That's my $0.02
Good Luck
Peace Out All!!!
PS. That's a case of old road rash on the point cover. I'm keeping my eye out for one without the rash. But, they are hard to come by. 78 point covers commonly develop rash somewhere along the way.

GPz1100 / GPz750Turbo Swingarm width was created by Fossil

Does anyone happen to know if the swingarm width of the GPz750 Turbo and the GPz1100, both with the eccentric chain adjusters, are the same width at the axle? I'm considering following the info on Lorcan's site re: fitting a ZX6 rear wheel and noticed a mention that the GPz750 Turbo and the GPz750 have different width swingarms.
Or, can somebody measure the width of a GPz750 Turbo swingarm for me.
Do I want to do the wheel swap, or go the whole route with a GSXR rear end? - weighing my options, ease of fitting, (and finances!). Thanks

I've read through several of the posts on this site - very helpful, but I still have a couple questions. I purchased an early 80's gs1100 swingarm. After removing the GPZ 81's tube unit, I can see that the GS unit is 5/8's of an inch shorter(in width) where it attaches to the frame(hence spacers needed), but its also 1 full inch wider at the rear. I guess I'll need a longer axle and additional spacers for it to fit? The shock mounts could be a problem - they are also an inch wider and different mounting attachment, so I'm not sure how to handle that one... Comments appreciated/Brad

Two brackets bottom back......wheelie bar mounts? If you have a Suzi swingarm look for GSXR rear rim.

Scored, an aluminum box swingarm on e-bay for 26.00 I was told it was from an early GSX? It came off a 1975 z1b(which is my bike) Ill try to post pics for identification. There are two brackets on both sides bottom back, Caliper mount? anyone who knows gs's please tell me the conversion. I already know I need eye to clevis shocks. What kind of rim should I go for. My bike has lesters on now, I kinda like the classic look, but I know getting the lester widened is big bucks. my bike is in the gallery, The Atomic orange one.
 I cant wait to do the conversion.
