Well, a lot of work has been done over the past couple of months. First start to come today. What we have so far.... 1980 kz750 doner bike, 02 zx7 forks and front wheel, 04 gsxr600 swingarm, rear wheel, and brake set up, 06 cbr600rr taillight and front fender, vrod headlight, 2011 gsxr rear seat cowl with fabricated undertail, and a 1973 honda cb350F petrol tank. That's just the basics. I plan to work out the kinks then tear it back down to complete body work. If anyone is interested in the details I can start a new topic.

When I got back from vacation this week I tackled a few more things.

Got the shock mounts welded on the swingarm.

Got the base coat done on the body parts and finished the first color layer of the base on the wheels. It's urethane across the board on all items. It's my first time using the gun and overall I'm quite happy with the results. Also VERY happy with the 2k primer. The 2k primer was super smooth, I'm quite stocked for the 2k clear now.

Decided to paint the rear sprocket too (etching primer in the pick)..lol. Might as well, need some green contrast in the rear too.

Some more work happening this weekend as well.

I should have trusted my own instincts. The machine shop I was using at the time said I needed a single piston MotoX style caliper because of the wheels. The cleaner Brembo style caliper I wanted needs to be spaced out a but but for some reason I went with their suggestion - they were just lazy I guess.

Anyway - this calliper is now going on a way more minimal and discrete hanger. Stronger, lighter and way cooler looking. The waste of time and money for the other thing stings but I need this to be just right. Besides, maybe its worth something to someone along with the swing arm.

What chain are you guys runnig 630 or 530? Did you have to use an off set front sproket?

Yeah,there should be threadded holes in the center of the bushings.Maybe somebody had it appart before and put them in backwards.

Just got this swingarm are myself and can't wait to make the conversion. I will document it the best I can and post it.

Any updates on the installation? I'm doing this same conversion right now.
