This was a "photoshop" excercise...

And here, a much older photo, before the recent "surgery", and with the bikini fairing green too...



I wanted the desired result to be in my "minds eye" before I tear into the paintwork.

I am now fully convinced, and motivated...

I’m a big green Kawasaki fan but… the red just works on those older models. My .02 

Just to be controversial, what about the super rare white ? go on, dare to be different 

 

Guys, guys... the green train has left the station already, I'm psyc'd.

When I was 15, my Dad bought me my first  Kawasaki...(Thanks Dad!)
I wanted a green, 1981 AR50 A1, and that's what we ordered.
6 weeks was a long wait for a teenager...

When they opened the crate at the dealership, 18 December 1981, it was Firecracker Red!
But, it was love at first sight!
That little machine meant FREEDOM!



42 years on, I still want my green Kawasaki... And I'm going to have it, even if I have to paint it green myself.

It absolutely is Personal Choice   just playing it was pretty clear that it was going green (a buddy of mine had a white 1000R from new - I loved it)

Now that’s what I call green. No, I meant to say GREEN!

I did a quick cross-check of the green, with an on-line photo of a genuine ELR, and the pic I took of my paint...
I cut out a small rectangle from the photo of my paint, and pasted it into the ELR photo...

I "looks" pretty darn close !

The paint color was achieved by showing the color-match technician a picture of a Lawson Replica, on my phone!
(no color code I'm afraid)
