Ignition perch. Dyana pulled from between the tabs on the fender. Using velcro to keep it in place as well the tension of the tangs from the stock igniter mount.

Had to file down the petcock lever to clear the RS carb bracket after taking off the .5" intake spacers.

And there ya go. Please don't get the impression I made all of these mods myself. Derek was the master fabricator on 85% of the mods made.

I've done a good deal of assembly. Wire loom changes and other little bits here and there while putting it back together.

Most of the things done to the bike are not noticeable to folks and takes a keen eye to find all these details.

There is more and I forgot to take a picture of my oil line routes from the pan and other little bits. That was a brain teaser but I feel a good compromise was made.

Started all of this back in 1999. Now it's back on the road for another decade. ;)

Hope you enjoy.

Sean

Man, your bike is so clean! I'm just blown away by it every time I look at those pics!

Pardon me if you mentioned it and I missed it, but what are you using for a speedometer? All I see is a tach...

No Spedo. Just tach. It's a problem as the cops are getting sticky out here. I can pump along with traffic all day long. But when I'm alone with no reference it's a problem. I'm probably pushing 80 most of the time. Most of the roads I'm on are 65mph limit or under.

So it's time to save for a new digital gauge package from Acewell. Finally a company has our old bikes in mind. They have an attachment for the KZ where the old speedo cable was mounted to convert to their digital cluster.

Be cool to have a signal indicator, fuel gauge and other niceties.
