I think the gist of the post was they are not identifying the E15 dispensers clearly. That is not the current price in southeast Michigan. It’s $4.59 a gallon. There is no way this junk gas is $2.00 a gallon cheaper.

Mikaw I am still only marginally less jealous given we are paying $9.40 per US gallon
Yikes.

Does anybody remember The Great Recession of 2008 when fuel prices spiked?  bush #2 didn't wave a magic wand to lower the price of gasoline.  In the USA, today's prices are actually lower now than 14 yrs ago when inflation is factored.  $4/gal gasoline in 2008 would be around $5.50 today. or around $8 if you were paying $6/gal back then. prices in our area are in the $4 range.  oil companies continue to rake it in, $$$B every qtr. Most major corps are recording record profits, w record ceo pay. maybe the inflation problem is the corporations.

We are being not so gently nudged into EVs. For the save the planet crowd, every rise in the price of gas is a celebration.

Completely agree with the last few post. This is a politically driven mess. When covid hit supply went up and demand down, that is the only natural cause of this. After that the current administration bullied and shamed the mean ”big oil” into agreeing to reduce production because they were hurting the planet. Then they closed off lands to drilling. Almost stopped, but for less then 100 miles, approving new pipelines to move oil. Recently said they would fine the companies that are not using current leases. And more recently just closed land in Alaska and something like 80% of other federal land for drilling. They are choking off the US oil production, the media will falsely say we’re producing almost as much as in 2019, but those are estimated projected numbers not real oil going into barrels. The reduced US oil, is the biggest factor considering we are the world’s largest producer of oil. OPEC nations only make up about 40% of the oil production now. I completely agree that this is a plan to force us to EV’s. The big dummies don’t look past the completed vehicles and see how bad on the environment and expensive it is to build them. It’s a way to pay back the Green money poured into election coffers. Follow the money!!!

The grid doesn't have the capasity to suppoert all the EV's coming out not to mention the private house services with a quick charge system. The more Ng, fossel fuel, nuke generating facilities plus hydro going off line for green energy no one will be able to drive anywhere.
