To save 10 cents a gallon, 15% ethanol gas is on its way this summer to a gas station near you. Temporarily. Or so they say.
Are there any carb rebuilding kits that are immune to the stuff?

One of the biggest scams ever pulled on the public. We may need that corn to eat the way things are going.

Corn has surprisingly little nutritional value...
I'm lucky in that the fuel station down the road from me has ethanol-free gasoline

E-10 is causing enough problems in older fuel systems the way it is. E-15 will be a little worse.

no thanks. expect rubber deterioration & a rusty fuel tank. and some people are going to confuse E15 w E85. wasn't even certain exactly what e85 is, was expecting the number to be that percent ethanol, but no the ethanol content can vary.

The real scam is that ethanol costs twice as much as pure gas. Because it is subsidiized, it is cheaper at the pump, but is largely paid for by tax dollars. I think now less than half the US population pays taxes, so I know my logic is a losing battle.

I run 87 octane no problem. More corn is fine by me.

I'm constantly with Stabil in my bikes. The bottle says it helps with problems relating from ethanol. I haven't had any problems but it keeps me sane anyway. Three of my bikes are carburetors and one FI but FI injectors are not immune to the corrosion caused by moisture created by ethanol. I've witnessed it firsthand.
Also I'll add, I too believe we should be growing food instead of fuel. Even if there is not much nutritional value in corn on the cob as posted above, I'll take mine rolled in butter with a dash of salt. And a nice cold beer. There's value in that I tell you.

Great our fearless leader is now going to give us gasoline with even more ethanol mixed in. Where I live I have never seen a gas station that sells 100% pure gasoline. I gave up on running any type of pump gas way back in 1980. Mostly due to the amount of compression I run in my motors. I have run VP Fuels VP110 for years now. Whats really nice about this type of fuel is I don't have to drain my bikes carburetors when I let the bike sit idle for many months on end. This fuel NEVER turns into the greenish goop in the float bowls like pump gas does!!!! It will completely evaporate leaving just a slight pink tint in the float bowl!!!!
My GSXR750 sat for three years and I never drained the carb bowls. I put fuel in the tank and the bike fired right up running on all four cylinders!!! Try doing that with any brand of pump gas!!!! VP makes a fuel designed just for vintage cars and bikes that were designed to run on leaded fuels. Its called VP Vintage Leaded. It has a shelf life of two to three years. Its like 100 bucks for a five gallon container. If you have a '70's 900 Z1 with a value of over 20 grand that you ride maybe a couple thousand miles a year. You would be a fool not to run this type of fuel. Since all this crap pump gas now sells for 4 to 6 bucks a gallon. 20 bucks a gallon for some great fuel ain't really that bad in my book!!!!
Good $hit!!!

The corn going into fuel is feed corn for livestock. Either way it taking food out of out food supply. It’s just more political money laundering. Only 1% of station nationwide sell E15. It will do nothing to reduce the price of gas, but will make Bill Gates even richer. He is now the largest private farmland owner in America. Funny how a tech giant is involved in vaccines and farmland! This may actually raise the price of oil, the more oil corporations see more money going to green garbage the less they feel comfortable making the multiple year investment to drill. Drilling is a huge upfront investment and takes years to pay off. Wall Street is already hesitant to invest in oil because of the green garbage being pushed.
