What i have a problem with is, after Ive made a decision, someone CONTINUALLY telling me to go another way.  At a certain point I let it be known my mind was made up.

The first bike in the pic appears to have sections of pinstripes missing on the tank. Is that over or under the clear? Should that tell you something?

We don't care what you decide to do. Right or wrong. You seem to think that once you've decided your course of action that no one else can continue the thread. You don't own it or the forum. 
However, anyone else wishing to read the thread may be interested in exactly what kawasaki DID DO originally so they can do it correctly. You saying "the end" just means it might be for you but it doesn't close anything for everyone else. 
It's not yours,  you don't own it to say who can or can't continue to post on it.

Not to mention I've been on this site many years and never seen any attitude, this is not facebook.This gentleman in his post seems to have that.

It tells me that they held up well for 46 years. Thats a good run.

Posting in large print / bold letters alone is  considered shouting  and is considered in this forum very rude .
This is spelled out in our  rules.
 Please in the future refrain from such actions.
The  factory way , The right way, The longest lasting way to complete a paint job with stripes is all that our membership 
is trying to make a point of.   As stated nobody cares what method you decide to do to your personal bike.
 But for the benefit of another member who may want sound advice  and does a search and reads this thread  we owe it to them
to have the right information included 
  As nothing else needs to be said the thread is now locked
