anybody know? I can't seem to find it, just other cheaper ones that aren't as good.

Talk to somebody with an auto body shop.

Funny you say that. The reason I am looking for it is because yesterday I was asking my mechanic about whether he thought soda would remove the paint on the cases of my GPz motor. He said forget soda and get aircraft stripper. BUT he said he forgot where they got it from. He said don't bother with the cheap stuff, get aircraft stripper, I just haven't found it in any of the usual places...

I tried good aircraft stripper on Kawasaki black engines. It works somewhat but they still needed blasting when finished.

That is the commercially available stuff to the general public. That stuff is for wimps ;) I use the military stuff that is a tan color and has No solvents. It is designed to remove epoxy-polimide and Urethane paints. It will still not work on engine top ends. It will remove the stuff from a crank case however. But than so will normal MEK.

It may be for wimps but it IS aircraft stripper and it IS in Ontario and that is what he is asking for. I do use this stuff on endura, imron and some other 2 part paints and never had a problem. I do strip aircraft and aircraft parts with it. It works fine.

The problem with the REAL GOOD stuff is that it very toxic and will harm you if you don't take the proper precautions. But so will the stuff in the link.

A guy I was working with years ago was stripping an aircraft using the good stuff. He didn't take the proper precautions and ended up in the hospital. Instead of wearing the protective clothing and footwear, he chose to wear his overalls and running shoes. When the skin on his feet started coming off he hurried down to see the doc.

i saw someone throw a rag with a itty bit of M.E.K and a tiny dixie cup of it, for some left over, after old man drive way auto dudes painters mixing or something...into a burn barrel that was out ,it was a girlfriend just cleaning up the night befores party sitting area..... in a busy beer and bon fire hang out...

not too long after....the old man of the place walked over after lighting an old gold and rolled up a piece of newspaper to light the barrel for the day..not knowing she had cleaned up his nearby project area into the barrels bottom 1/2 hour ago.........

WUMPH........

it shook the earth and caught my attention 100 ft away with my back to him running a gas mower two houses over........

i turned just in time to see the whole bon fire areas circle of chairs and a 1970's 25' Winabago camper covered in St Elmos fire....even the old man had a split second blue flame backdrop......took his eyebrows ,gave him a tan,and left his redneck haircut shorn off like a gremlin doll.......

i was very impressed and ever since then stay way clear of M.E.K or anything spelled like it on a can......it sounded like an artilary cannon at close range...tthththththumPPP!!!....

i was told there was only a about a 1/4 inch in the dixie cup when she tossed it in the unlit barrel

i got a 10 dollar can of aircraft stripper spray on gel @ auto zone parts store last spring..it stripped a GPZ1100 j-model ignition cover in two tries....i aired the rags out over a stump for a few days then sprayed them good with a hose and aired dried em again before throwing em away....i do this with all my rags...everytime...

Since we're swapping stories I got one too. At my last job we used a lot of DCM for extractions...DCM is the same thing as methylene chloride, the stuff in paint stripper. We had hoods and negative pressure to suck out the vapours, and DCM is quite volatile, but when a guy dropped a 4 litre carboy of it on the floor and smashed it it still managed to cover the floor before evaporating. He ran out of the lab as fast as he could, but by the time he was out he was running on his socks, the DCM had melted the soles, and the foam of his shoes off, it was nuts. Luckily DCM doesn't burn or anything, it just freezes you as it draws heat from your skin and evaporates...
