Hahahahah! I was going to bump one of your threads, but I couldn't decide which one. So is that the new welder? Did they get all your issues resolved? Hurry up and get some polydent on those choppers so we can see some progress. :P

Yup, that's the new welder Josh. The replacement unit works fine, but the rear plastic bezel got cracked in shipping. Everlast will replace that, but they have yet to make good on a promised WP20 torch for my inconvenience. The welder comes with a WP18 torch which is a larger, less nimble torch than the WP20. I'm fresh out of polydent, but how about I get out some epoxy instead? :)

Knowing them, they'll probably just ship you some plastic filler rods and tell you to get some more practice.

So did you guys get any motorcycle work done, or just garage cleaning?

I finished welding up my subframe and the lower subframe brackets. I also went over a few of my less asthetic welds with the tig torch. Once my helper was here, we got caught up with dinner, then making a tray to hold extra collets, cups and electrodes. Then we were cleaning off one of my work benches and putting KZ parts in boxes to make room for composite work...thats when his mom called (it was later than I thought) wondering when he was coming home. Ah well, I got started organizing my benches, and I'll finish it up tomorrow. The best laid plans of mice and men.......

Amen to that brother :) I did more cleaning this afternoon, until the little woman left me in charge of the kids while she stepped out for a few hours. I thought I could go back out into the garage for a bit, but I didn't know she had something cooking on the stove. When I came back in, something was burning! Suffice it to say, the kids got pizza delivered this evening, and I had to explain why I was in the garage while dinner was burning when the wife got home

Still, I got most of my Kaw engine parts that I had on my bench organized into labeled boxes to stack neatly in the rafters. That will free up my work benches for the composite work to come, and make it easy to find what I need when it's time to reassemble the engine.
