On your Plastic side and tail pieces... You did scuff and use adhesion promoter correct? ;)

It's somewhat funny where I as well as others where scared to paint but hell did the research and jumped into it where prep is everything and in taking your time, it will come out just fine...

I've had numerous compliments from ppl looking over the bike, "nice paint job".... Then I hit them with "Yeah not bad for can paint"....

Obviously Kodak moment on their faces when "WTF" comes out of their mouths....

Pictures are a must...

Nice... DupliColor?

I found the can clear coats to be non ideal for protections (gas, grime, dirt etc...) 2 part clear the only way to go.

Put up some tutorials/write ups on your process and how you accomplished... In sharing with others, you'll be a favorite for doing so and have a whole new slew of frineds here...

Yes Dupli-color. Hand sanded tank down to bare metal and filled dents. Then used flat black primer with about 4 coats and hand sanded with 2000 grit. put about 5 coats of duplicolor on sanding out some overspray at times, Weather was not so nice. then hand sanded in the sink while wife made funny faces. In the end I used real light rubbing compound. still need to put decals on and clear coat.

That won't suit Ron much better....

I think it looks good and, hell it's your bike the only one it needs to suit is you!

Great paint jobs can come from a can... unfortunately, they are seldom able to stand the test of time as well as other paints.
