LTD that was me who Kramit2 says posted on putting a centerstand on a 900LTD. I'm not sure if mine are the original Jardines or not but they look like them. There is no crossover tube. But I bought a centerstand and a couple of shoulder bolts and put the centerstand on when I need it. Takes me about 30 seconds to put it on and less to take it off. It makes working on the wheels much easier. I cut the threads off the shoulder bolts leaving the shoulder. They now look like a couple of pins. It very stable and the swingarm was cheap on e-bay.

Yeah, I don't recommend this method as a routine way of lifting the front end. But I didn't want to wait. The tire was waiting at the shop, and I wanted to break it in this weekend.
So I got away with my three-point system using the 'gator jack.
Wheel's back on now, and I have to behave myself for about 100 miles 'til I get the new tire scuffed up some.

LTD look into that centerstand. The Jardines don't have a crossover do they? Mine dont. Just get under there and look at the mounts. The centerstand mounts between the two on each side. There is tons of clearance on mine. It fits mine with room to spare.

Yup.
A center stand is on my shopping list. Never thought of just having one to use in the garage. That's a great idea.
