Front Wheel Removal Without Center Stand

Jeez, I miss not having a center stand.
I need to pull the front wheel to get new rubber, but I can't get the front wheel off the ground.
I can't put a milk crate under the engine because my pipes are in the way (see pic).
Do I have to remove my pipes to get the wheel off? Any tricks or tips from you side-stand-only riders?

I REALLY think you should buy you a set of Vance & Hines 4 into 1. THEN you could put a center stand on Blaze. And SELL me your rare, beautiful and hard-to-find Jardine 4 into 2's. I have my wallet ready!!! :P (Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear Tim)

Rub it in!
Keeping this bike stock can be a pain.
Pulling the pipes isn't so bad, but I'm fresh out of crush washers (I'm sure I'll need new ones when I re-install the pipes). What are the odds the Kaw dealer will have the crush gaskets when I drop off my wheel?

No tricks I'm aware of...you must pull your pipes to get a lift under your motor (in the absense of a centerstand).:(

Stick a piece of wood between the pipes and use your floor jack.

If you find this too precarious for your liking, you can make a cradle that fits between the pipes and cradles the left and right sides of the engine case.

Alright - call me stupid - (many have :P ) BUT...is it just maybe possible that these little threaded holes in our forks as pictured below, could have a suitable bolt threaded into them to use as lifts (if they'll sustain the weight) - then use that in conjunction with the many front and rear "sportsbike lifts" as pictured in this link? Just a thought.....

You know, the front end's not that heavy, and I just need to lift it high enough to drop the wheel. If I can get a bolt in the fork holes Skip shows, then I can put a jack on each side. I'll check it out tonite.
Man, I hope I never have to try to fix a flat on the road. Guess that's why they invented the Auto Club.

if you have a garage why don't you put something soft and strong around the upper triple tree or handle bars and lift it up with a rope or come-along to a rafter?
