Front brake splitter options was created by Trackerkz650sr
Hey fellas

This forum has such a wealth of knowledge i love it

Question
I wanna do away with that big ugly splitter on the front of my 78 kz650 sr

I was told i could do 2 lines to the master with a longer banjo bolt to accommodate

Is that possible?
I dont mind loosing the brake switch option it has built in as i will use the rear switch

Just trying to go with the most clutterless design

Thanks yalll

I run one line down to the right hand caliper, then (with a longer banjo) I have a second, shorter line running from that, over the mudguard to the left hand caliper. Thats on a ZXR front end,so the switch is fitted under the brake lever. I wouldnt run it without a brake switch.

I wouldn't run it without a brake light switch. Z1Enterprises.com has the banjo bolt type.

You might be able to install a fork cover bracket & fork emblem to hide the brake joint. KZ650-CSR. KZ750 Ltd. or also swap the brake joint.

No problem with two lines from the MC, If you don't want to run a banjo switch (kinda fugly IMHO) you can get a newer MC that has a switch built into it.

Guys chill no need to grill me over a brake switch i know what im doing as far as that goes

Im simply trying to clean up this stock splitter

Pics of what u guys are running would be ideal

My main concern was spongey brakes. My idea was the splitter was designed to maintain max pressure

Lets see them lines yall

Or have Les Holt at our vendor PDM build you a custom triple tree with the brake splitter built into the lower tree
I never liked the look of the stock splitter. It works great , but ugly in my eyes
Call Les

Having two lines go to the MC would be ugly and or one going across the fender would be too IMO. Why not get a Kawasaki cover for it?
